Join the Monday Samadhi Yoga group practice

LET'S GO!

About the practice.

The Samadhi Yoga practice supports a life of ease and integration through the effortless weaving of a gentle yoga practice (asana and pranayama) and the discovery of the timeless and very relatable themes of the Yogic literature. Inspired by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Teachings and the Classical Yoga First Set, the practice specifically focuses on both activity and rest. This class is a slow, kind, and therapeutic variation with a special orientation toward harmonizing all systems and aspects of the body and mind. This coordination paves the way for the practitioner to experience Wholeness within, which is the ultimate goal of all Yoga.

What you need.

  • Zoom. Once you sign up and pay, you'll receive the link.
  • Tablet or Computer with Camera. Please make sure that you place your computer/camera on a lower table, like a coffee table. This allows me to see you and offer feedback so you can be comfortable and enjoy the practices.
  • Comfortable clothes to move in. It's always a good idea to wear organic cotton and natural fibers rather than synthetic ones.
  • A yoga mat.
  • Two 4-inch yoga blocks.
  • Two - Three heavy yoga blankets. These provide more support than the thinner ones and are easier to streamline instead of pillows and random bolsters in group classes. You can easily fold them into different shapes, roll them, etc. They are very versatile, soft, and made of recycled materials. They can be purchased here. **Please call the company directly to order - you and some friends will be able to order several of them and receive a total discount.
  • An open mind and an inquisitive approach. You may be joining this practice with some previous experience whether you have practiced with me or not. I invite you to be curious and enjoy.

About Meredith.

Meredith's love of movement, dance, and the healing arts drew her to discover yoga in her teenage years, landing in a place that she felt immediately at home. Her passion, curiosity, and desire to know, feel, sense, and understand her physicality has led her to her studies in yoga, ayurveda, bodywork, and somatics with many master teachers, accumulating thousands of hours in education, training, and experience. She is a Certified International Yoga Therapist, an Advanced Level Yoga Teacher and Yoga Teacher Trainer, and a Somatic Educator among other things, including an Ayurvedic Practitioner and a Massage Therapist. She has training in several bodywork modalities which allow her to fully access and utilize the healing aspects of Yoga. Her integrative approach involves the synergy and alignment of all aspects of oneself, allowing the cultivation of embodied and enlivened living.

Meredith received her BA in Transpersonal Psychology with a Yoga Therapy and Somatics Emphasis from Burlington College in 2004. She received her Post-Bac Certificate in Western Herbalism in 2014 from Maryland University of Integrative Health, and her MSc in Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine in 2018 from Maharishi International University (MIU). Meredith served MIU as a lead teacher in the undergraduate online Maharishi AyurVeda and Wellness degree program from 2020-2022. In the summer of 2022, she became the current lead teacher trainer and course developer for the Yoga For Union teacher training program at MIU. She has been well-received and invited to bring her Knowledge forward at Maharishi International University, in the Maharishi Vedic Sciences department under Dr. Fred Travis.

First Theme: The Outer Depends on the Inner

In order for us to live fully and stay in contact with Being, we must nurture our connection with our inner world and life. We must take the time to go within. Enjoy this theme as you learn to commit to your practice regularly and lean into the supportive community here every Monday evening. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Jai Guru Dev.

There are additional ways you can work with Meredith outside of the weekly group Samadhi Yoga classes.

For one, you can have an online or in-person private lesson (or a series of private lessons) to receive individualized support and guidance in the unfolding of your practice. Meredith is also available for in-person Embodied Release® Yoga Therapy in the Bay Area, California.

Working in the field of healing, health, ayurveda, yoga, and movement for over two decades, Meredith has mastered the creation of highly individualized healing and transformation programs for each person that she works with. Her approach, The Hart Approach® to Yoga & Holistic Healing has its basis in creative intelligence, intuition, and integration where Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, Panchakarma, and Somatic Education come together.

Enliven your healing and practice through online group programs, courses, trainings, and in-person group retreats.

As an advanced-level teacher and teacher trainer, Meredith offers continuing education in her approach to Yoga Teachers who have graduated from a YTT200 certification program so that they may deepen their offerings and the breadth of their work.
